Established in 2002:
East Coast Tropics is a cottage industry located on the east coast of the USA. Soap formulas were created because of problems I experienced using alcohol-based products. Hawaii's natural beauty, heritage, traditions and laid-back pace also serve as an inspiration in creating soap and bath products that is a reminder of what was once called "home." The beauty of the isles is captured through my products in every detail such as ingredients, color and fragrance.

Formulations:
We believe in formulating our own products from scratch. Every batch of soap is created from scratch and not from pre-made bases. None of our products are massed produced. Although some of our products are outsourced, they are carefully made by hand and in small batches. Creating products in small quantities ensures quality and the freshest product available.

Customer Base:
Our customers are current and former Hawaii residents, and the Hawaiian-at-heart. And they are discerning when it comes to products that represent the hawaiian culture.

Goal:
In an effort to help promote the Hawaiian culture, it is my goal to continue to offer carefully choosen products and scents that are representative of Hawaii. I don't stock tropical scents just for the sake of having tropical scents. And product names are carefully considered before using -- I don't name my products after Hawaiian Gods or religious references (i.e. Kahuna) -- it's not pono and certainly inappropriate for naming soap and bath & body products!

Accuracy is used in all aspects of my products, their scents, their names and spelling and so I do not lump Hawaiian, Tropical, Island, Polynesian into one market! I do not want my products to represent a "Fake Hawaiian" or "Tiki Culture". It is also my goal to continue to provide fast service....along with Aloha in the delivery of each and every product.

My products must be high in quality as well as help promote my Hawaiian culture and the traditions of a place that I hold high in value. My entire family is involved with East Coast Tropics and I truly hope that you enjoy East Coast Tropics products as much as I enjoy creating them!
