Handmade Aloha Soaps & Herbal Soaps
All Soaps are hand-made from scratch using the "Oven Hot Process" method. The Oven Hot Process method allows for the soap mixture to "cook" gently, yet quickly, on low heat. Our soaps are vegan, are not made from "Melt & Pour Glycerin bases" and are not made from animal or insect origins. They are less processed than commercial soaps, therefore gentler on your skin.
Every batch contains a blend of Olive, Macadamia Nut, Kukui Nut, Coconut, Palm and Castor oils. Other ingredients such as essential oils, dried herbs and botanicals, exotic tropical fragrance oils and Cosmetic Grade color additives approved by the U.S. FDA are added to create a variety of our Hawaii-inspired soaps.
To ensure mildness, our soaps are air-dried for 1-2 weeks before wrapping. Each soap weighs approximately 3oz/85g but may slightly vary slightly from bar to bar. Our soaps are not mass produced but rather, made in small batches to insure that you get the very best and freshest product available.
Aloha Soaps & Herbal Soaps are too colorful and pretty to be completed covered so they are only shrinkwrapped with a label. The ends of the soap are exposed in order for the soap to breath.
Please note that due to the handmade nature of the products, color tones and hues may vary slightly from batch to batch.
Color Additives used in East Coast Tropics products
Some soaps are left uncolored with no color additives. For those soaps where color additives are included, natural herbs, clays and botanicals as well as cosmetic grade color additives are used to color the soaps.
We use certified FD&C & D&C (Cosmetic Grade) color additives approved by the U.S. FDA (Food & Drug Administration) for coloring cosmetics, toiletries and soap.
We do not use artists' pigments, candle dyes, fabric dyes, food coloring, pottery pigments or wax crayons to color our soaps.
Fragrance Additives used in East Coast Tropics products
Our soaps are scented with either fragrance oils or pure essential oils.
Aloha Soaps contain man-made fragrance oils and we use premium/cosmetic/manufacturer's grade fragrance oils specifically formulated for use in soap and body care applications. Fragrance oils are also used in other East Coast Tropics products such as Body Lotions, Body Mists, Perfumes and Laundry Detergent.
Essential oils are used in our Herbal Soaps. Essential oils are obtained by steam or distillation of botanicals.
